More About The Flower Artist

Hello, I’m Kelly, the florist and flower preservation artist behind The Flower Artist, based in the lovely village of Denmead, Hampshire.

After a 20-year career in finance, I decided to take a leap and follow a lifelong love of flowers and creativity. I retrained in floristry and began creating natural, seasonal arrangements using locally grown British flowers wherever possible.

My journey into flower preservation began quite by chance — my youngest child’s teacher once asked if I knew anyone who could preserve her daughter’s wedding flowers. I didn’t, but the idea intrigued me so much that I decided to give it a go myself. From that moment, I was hooked. What started as an experiment quickly grew into a passion, and today, flower preservation has become the heart of my business.

I work with a mix of homegrown and British-sourced flowers, as well as carefully selected blooms from trusted suppliers, always aiming to keep my work as sustainable and seasonal as possible. Whether I’m creating eco-friendly funeral arrangements, bespoke wedding flowers, or bouquet subscriptions, every design is made with care and connection.

At home, I share life with my husband, our four children, and our sleepy cat, Jeffrey. When I’m not working on resin art or floristry, I love creating linocut prints, which I sell through my Etsy shop. I also spend plenty of time pottering around my flower and veg patch or planning the next season’s blooms.

Every piece I create — whether it’s a resin keepsake, a floral design, or a hand-printed artwork — is made with creativity, care, and a genuine love for nature. My goal is to help people celebrate, remember, and hold onto life’s most special moments through the beauty of flowers and art.

If you’d like to preserve your own special flowers, or simply want to learn more about my work, I’d love to hear from you — you can explore my flower preservation services or get in touch to chat about your ideas.
